This is where art meets science.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While ESA investigates various media, most samples are collected from soil and groundwater using different sampling methodologies. In addition, the means by which some samples are collected, preserved, and analyzed by the laboratory change on a continual basis. ESA stays on top of these changes by maintaining a close relationship with several analytical laboratories, as well as staying abreast of NJDEP rule, regulation, and guidance changes. Thus, every project for every client is executed in conformance with correct, exacting specifications. Knowing how to take a sample in a given situation is not always as simple as it might seem. ESA knows the subtle sampling nuances that can make a big difference on your project&#8217;s outcome and budget.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that several sampling rounds might be needed before a site is fully characterized. For example, the results of the first round of samples will determine if any impacts are present at concentrations above the applicable cleanup standards. If impacts are present, additional sampling will be conducted to determine the horizontal and vertical extents of the impacts. ESA will also determine if any impacts are entering your property from an off-site source.
